A favorite spot for local swimmers and also a race start for a variety of swim events throughout the year. La Jolla Cove is located just off of Prospect St., behind its hotels and restaurants. Lifeguards are always perched above, keeping an eye on swimmers and there are bathrooms and showers on the lawn. Most swimmers don a wetsuit for the Cove's somewhat chilly 60-70 degree waters.
