As the best YMCA in Silicon Valley, El Camino certainly draws a crowd. Out-of-towners can sweat and/or swim for $10/day. The outdoor pool sports 6 lanes of 25-yard swimming. Bottom stripes, floating lane lines, backstroke flags and pace clocks adorn the venue making it competition quality and worth the price of admission. Kickboards, pull-buoys and other toys are offered as well. Avoid the 7am to 8am hour if possible - area workers (including those from the hospital across the street) pack the place and the swim lanes are slightly narrow for sharing.

In addition to a highly touted pool, El Camino Y also houses an appealing fitness facility, basketball court and aerobic classrooms.
