Lap swimmers, members of 24 Hour Fitness, and anyone else who wants to "put up their heels" as close as possible to the airport area's best private health club should consider booking a room here. Staybridge stumbled upon good fortune in 2009 when the mega-health club operator opened a "Super Sport" (24 Hour Fitness's top of the food chain facility) club next door. At the time of our visit, a reduced admission rate had not yet been negotiated but there is talk of a $5 discount being passed on to Staybridge guests. That would make the entry fee somewhat more palatable ($15 vs. $20).

Staybridge does sport a diminutive workout room of their own, but the three older StarTrac cardio machines hardly impress.

Free breakfasts and complimentary high speed internet access are two additional perks, but certain tradeoffs must be considered. Rooms are accessed via doors that open to the outside, not an internal corridor (a safety concern for some). And, while guest quarter floor-plans include kitchens and separate living/sleeping spaces, the décor and furnishings are simple, mundane and cheap. Also, staff is typically limited to one or two front desk personnel, so don't expect room service or other such conveniences.

Bottom Line: This place is all about saving a few bucks and staying next to 24 Hour Fitness Super Sport.
