Las Vegas Areas

The Strip & surrounding area

If you are familiar with Vegas, you know that room pricing for casinos located on the “Strip” (Las Vegas Blvd.) can be all over the map. Depending on conventions, special events, season, and promotional offers, the most expensive hotel one week can be the cheapest the next. As a result, our price categories are not relevant for this unique city. Leaving the rate research to you, we have instead listed accommodations in order of the appeal and caliber of each on-site workout option. To further simplify your fitness quest, we have excluded the usual room descriptions. With the exception of the all-suite Venetian, our recommended properties provide very similar quality accommodations. In addition, all hotels maintain comprehensive websites fully describing their rooms and amenities—some with a 360 degree tour. And this is Vegas! How much time are you spending in your room anyway? When checking into your hotel, request a coupon book from guest services. Almost every hotel provides these free money savers. While most of it is junk, a few goodies are in the mix, in particular you may find free passes to the hotel’s health club. And since all Strip hotels charge a fairly substantial fee to workout (unless you have already paid for a spa or salon service that same day), this freebie can be valuable. Daily workout tariffs typically fall into the $20 - $30 range with a few locations offering multi-day discounts. For example, Luxor charges its guests $20/day, but the coupon book yielded 2 free passes with no strings attached. Now that’s our type of deal!
