• Runners, walkers and cyclists staying in Schaumburg will enjoy the 11 miles of paved paths and nearby 9 miles of added trails that meander through popular Busse Woods. From our recommended hotels, or any other locations west of Hwy. 53, head east along Higgins Road, jog under the the I-290/Rt. 53 highway and you'll see the path. Take it in either direction through the nearby forests and meadows. Miles are marked througout and bathroom facilities are here too. If you want to drive here, feel free. Plenty of parking lots and spaces are available.

  • For those staying near McCormick Place or at the Hyatt Regency, this route will take you to the popular Lakefront path and back. Can be used for cycling too as their are more miles to be explored than you can imagine!

  • A short but fun trail that meanders through the woods that surround the Rosemont Expo Center and the Des Plaines River. See the hotlink to the left for more information and a map. This is a heavily wooded path so venture out during daylight hours only.

  • Convenient route for travelers staying in the O'Hare Airport area--especially in/near the Hyatt or Westin hotels. Flat run on urban sidewalk and through quiet residential area (gated).

  • One of the most beautiful runs in the U.S., can get a little breezy

    * Run along the asphalt/concrete path in either direction (north will bring you past popular beaches and play spots; south is museums, Bears stadium, and Navy Pier)

    * Access points to the path are located at Grand/Ohio Avenues, Michigan/Oak Streets, Fullerton Ave., and Belmont Ave.

    * Miles are marked on the path; we used Oak Street Beach as mile zero and provided distance in each direction
