• Across from Georgetown Hospital and just off of Resevoir Road you'll find this worn outdoor track. It's nothing too special, but may be a good option for those unfamiliar with the area and desiring an outdoor run.

The four lane track is owned by the University.

  • Want to see the DC sights while getting in a sweat at the same time? Follow this route for either a short jaunt around The Mall (dotted line) or a longer tour past a few notorious Memorials.

Both routes calculate their distances from the Grand Hyatt hotel, but pick either up at any point along the way.

  • If you are staying in Arlington and want a fun and convenient path that will give you some cycling distance (or running distance), head to the Mount Vernon Trail. It's a paved path that is scenic and fairly flat.

If in Crystal City, you can access the path via the Crystal City Connector Trail near Crystal Drive and 18th St. The Mt. Vernon Trail parallels the George Washington Memorial Parkway. The trail runs 18 miles in total from Theodore Roosevelt Island (near Rossyln) to George Washington's Estate at Mt. Vernon. (*picture courtesy of flikr)

  • Hard packed dirt out and back past Georgetown for as many miles as you like. Our Start/Finish is within a mile of most recommended hotels & the White House.

    * Start/Finish at the Towpath behind Four Seasons hotel at 29th & M (or pick it up at other access points along the route)

    * Follow the path West as far as you want to go, there are markers for the first 20 miles

    * Our 4-mile turnaround (one-way) is located at the parking lot past the Route 120 Bridge

    * The path is not lit, so joggers should use the path during daylight hours only
