Note: The address we use is for the Hyatt Regency hotel, but the paths run for miles in various directions. Birmingham is said to have more canal miles than Venice, Italy. Fortunately for runners and walkers, the waterways meander through the heart of downtown Birmingham creating traffic free exercise routes. The primary arteries flow past the Mailbox shopping gallery and out toward the University of Birmingham (Worcester & Birmingham Canal) or in the opposite direction, toward the Galton Valley Canal Heritage Centre (New Main Line Canal).
