• Mostly flat path that follows one of Phoenix's traffic-free canals for miles and miles.

    * Start/Finish at the Scottsdale Running Co. parking lot (Hayden & Indian Bend)

    * Run South on N. Hayden Rd. and turn R at the canal

    * Follow the canal as far as you like for a meandering out and back

    * Watch out for flying balls when crossing the golf course

    * Our map shows about 9 miles of out and back, but you can continue for miles

Total = approx. 9 miles round trip (other distances possible)

  • Great run route with two options for those staying in or near Gainey Ranch. Our mileage starts/finishes at the Hyatt Regency hotel, but pick up the route anywhere along the way.

  • If you are looking for a unique cross training opportunity then a hike to the top of this "Mountain" is in order.  This 2704ft peak is located with in a short drive of most of the Phoenix hotels and provides 2 trail options for a challenging workout.  Make sure to wear sunscreen, good sneakers/trail shoes and bring plenty of water.  If you are planning a late afternoon ascent, be cognizant of what time the sun will set as descending without daylight would be very difficult and you don't want to make the local news for being rescued by helicopter (don't be that guy).
