• Cuesta is a small but scenic green park with paved paths meandering throughout. It's a popular walking venue for retirees, moms with strollers and lunching workers from the nearby hospital. Runners will not accrue long distances here, but a short 2-3 miler is easily accomplishable without too much repetition. The El Camino YMCA is adjacent as well.

  • This is a private school, so we're not certain whether members of the public are officially allowed to run laps on their stellar 400-meter oval. But if you come to run after 330pm our guess is they won't shoo' you off the venue. Take a look at our photos for more insight. A bathroom is located adjacent to the track.

  • This track is one of the better middle school ovals we've ever seen. Easily mistaken for a high school or college track, it's no wonder a lot of locals run and walk here. Signs at its entrance indicate a "pre-registration at the office" requirement 730am to 330pm on school days. Adequate parking in an adjacent lot and street.

  • This dirt surfaced, 400-meter oval is convenient for those staying in the area who want to run intervals or do a swim-run combination workout (Fremont High's pool is adjacent to the track). Put any belongings in the middle of the infield to prevent high school juveniles from "sticky finger" temptations.
