Depending on the destination, vacationing with your kids can be a wonderful memory-making experience or a complete disaster. Any parent who says otherwise bends the truth like magician David Blaine bends the mind.
While certain experiences guarantee kid fun —Disney parks, Hawaii beaches, mountain snow-skiing---the cultural enrichment payoff is minimal. If your 11-year old son believes that Epcot is a Chinese city, it might be a sign to get him a passport and go someplace far…very far.
Here we are again! Another year gone by. So that means another Athletic-Minded Traveler Gift Guide. These are products that caught our eye this year, and we especially love recommending stocking stuffers! Note, we don't get any SWAG or payment for recommending the products :) We just like to share what we like.

Most Sin City travelers have little interest roaming off the Strip, and who can blame them? Massive hotels, scream-worthy amusement rides, titillating shows/nightclubs and wallet-busting shopping make Las Vegas Blvd a one-of-a-kind experience.
Our son just turned 5yrs and lately we noticed his formerly favorite balance-bike (sans pedals) was now getting as much attention as a snowblower in summer. "He's ready for the next challenge," we reasoned and set out to purchase his first real bike. But which two-wheeler is best for a 46-inch tall (117cm) rookie rider? Our vote goes to the 16-inch Specialized Hotrock.
