?Don?t mess with my peanut butter.? That?s what my husband said when I recently switched to an organic brand. ?Isn?t all PB wholesome and natural?? he queried. While PB&J is as American as Apple Pie, there could be a health glitch.
Have you checked out the ingredients in your favorite nutty staple? If you?re not buying all natural or organic, you?re likely getting more than you bargained for.
No, we?re not about to have an intelligent debate on oil and natural gas exploration. We read enough opinions on the topic in the newspapers?still can?t understand why more environmentally friendly drilling hasn?t begun yet?
And, fortunately for you, we will not be discussing the annual (preferably semi-annual) cavity discovery at the dentist?you don?t need teeth to suck down Gatorade and swallow gels, do you?
Hooray! Orange County, California, is finally up and listed on the site. Athletic-Minded Travelers can now find the information they need like Irvine hotel gyms, Costa Mesa restaurants, Newport Beach run routes, and much, much, more. Likely, we'll expand our Orange County content, but for now we start with the major business hubs of Irvine, Costa Mesa, and Newport Beach.

Athletic-minded skin takes a beating. Sweaty workouts, chlorinated pools, chafing winds, and the sun?s UV rays, all contribute to the de-moisturizing and wrinkling of our epidermis?the skin?s top layer.
Now, I?m no skin care nut/expert?until a year or so ago, I didn?t even know there was a difference between body and facial soap. But, after learning about the damage that we athletes can do to our skin and the resulting problems (e.g., deadly melanoma for one), I now wish I would have started a skin maintenance program earlier in my life.
Okay, did I just write that?
We're working hard putting the finishing touches on brand new content for Orange County, California. We'll be recommending 16 hotels, numerous health clubs and community centers, multiple run routes and lap pools, more than 30 places to eat, and more. Likely, we'll put up content on the OC business hubs of Irvine, Costa Mesa, and Newport Beach, first. Then we'll follow up with a subsequent addition covering Laguna Beach and Anaheim.

Should go live in about a week. Enjoy the weekend!!
Did I make a wrong turn? In my very early morning daze, I was a little confused. The entrance to my local gym suddenly resembled some sort of security checkpoint. What was this the Pentagon?
Okay slight exaggeration, BUT, entering in my 10 digit phone number and using my index fingerprint to get through the turnstile is pretty high tech for a quick sweat. And this is just a regular 24 Hour Fitness Center?not ultra, not even sport.
We rented and watched an entertaining movie this weekend, Invincible?a football flick based on the story of former Philadelphia Eagle, Vince Papale. It?s an inspirational, feel good movie portraying how an inexperienced 30-year old athlete overcame significant odds to make the 1976 Philly NFL franchise.
I?m always curious after watching a ?based on a true story? movie, how much truth there really was on the screen?
So you?ve run a marathon, cycled through a century ride or two, and maybe even finished an Ironman triathlon. But now you?re ready for a new and tougher challenge to one up your fellow endurance junkies.
You could swim the English Channel or climb Mt. Everest, but c?mon, let?s be realistic, those people are nuts, right?
Last week, Erin and I flew for the first time with our 5-month old baby. Our annual trip back to Chicago for early xmas with the extended family was the occasion.
Both Erin and I were anxious about the 4+ hour flight as well as the 90 minute wait prior because, as first time parents, we just had no idea how Sevrin was going to handle the airport, security, the takeoff/landing, and the monotonous hours at 35,000 feet.
