Not to be outdone in size by the Omni and Westin, Hilton's "big momma" tops out at 1,249 rooms and suites. Usually we avoid such grand scale hotels, but in downtown Atlanta the theme seems to be bigger is better.
With the Hilton brand you can count on reliability: a comfortable room, standard furnishings, typical amenities, and good service. Guest quarter highlights include large windows that allow for plenty of natural light, Hilton's trademark Serenity beds, 49-inch HD televisions and recently remodeled bathrooms.
Athletic-minded travelers should be able to carry out any land-based fitness routine in Hilton's stellar gym. Although the somewhat bland décor garners no rave reviews, we praise the amount and variety of equipment inside. Most gear is youthful and in good working order. Precor is a fan favorite, and Hilton's supply is nothing but: treads, ellips, upright and recumbent bikes. They're all here. Strength aficianados are not left to push-ups either. Approximately eight separate weight stations are organized around one side of the long room.
Hilton also sports a rooftop tennis court.
