This small café in Grant Park may be a little out of the way, but for those who enjoy breakfast fare, it's worth the trip. The bohemian crowd matches the eclectic décor with diner style booths, wood paneled walls, and a stainless steel counter. Come during the week or prepare to wait. Oakland Cemetery is across the street and there is a nice outdoor seating area for good weather days. While the menu does have vegetarian and vegan options, it is definitely more hearty than light in its breakfast offering. Light eaters may favor the entrée salads and veggie sides on the lunch portion of the menu.

Breakfast is offered all day and includes hearty huevos rancheros, brisket, buttermilk pancakes, and a breakfast burrito. The Southwest tofu scramble, country fried tempeh and soysage bacon will satisfy vegetarians and light eaters may also enjoy the tofu scramble or the granola cup with yogurt. Lunch begins at 11 am and includes a number of sandwiches (Rosemary chicken salad, tempeh reuben, pepper turkey melt) and salads with option of tilapia, chicken, tempeh or tofu. The spinach salad comes with sliced apples, goat cheese, toasted pecans and tomatoes. Along with quesadillas that's about it. The sides selection offers steamed broccoli, and several side salads.
