Along with Kiva Yoga in Vestavia Hills, this studio presents another option for those who seek Hot Yoga. Yoga Circle offers a variety of styles including various hot, flow, and vinyasa classes. The hot class closest to traditional Bikram, “Hot Soul,” is held in a room heated to about 105 degrees and each pose is held for about 30-60 seconds and repeated twice. Other classes include Yoga for Athletes, Core Vinyasa, various flow classes, and Ashtanga. Most classes are 90 minutes, with a few 60-minute and 75-minute options mixed in.
The studio has 2 showers for freshening up after class as well as changing rooms. But you will need to practice patience as there is often a line. Restrooms are also available. Shelves are located near the entrance to hold your shoes and other personal items.
The studio is less than 2 miles from most of our featured hotels. You'll find it located in the Five Points South district of Birmingham right under the Vulcan statue. Plenty of free parking is available in the shopping center parking lot.
A single class is $16, with a $20 unlimited first week beginner special. Mats and props are available for free, and towels are available to rent for $1.
Since Yoga Circle offers an especially large variety of classes and levels, we suggest checking the website or calling ahead for more detailed information for this one. Check the website for specific class times, but in general weekday classes start as early as 5:45a with the last class of the day at 7:45p. Weekends it's 8a and 4p.
