Very popular live entertainment venue (nightclub) located within Birmingham's city centre. Younger, 20-something's crowd is typical.

This 70-acre reservoir/park is a popular spot for water-related activities including wind surfing and fishing. A 1.75-mile path encircles most of the water (a dam prevents a complete loop) providing a convenient jogging or walking route. Currently no public toilets are onsite.

Members of the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra provide live entertainment at this lively and popular establishment for a more "mature" crowd. Food and alcohol also served.

Known as one of the more picturesque golf courses in the midlands, Lickey Hills is a public 18, with wooded fairways and challenging greens. Length is shorter than typical American courses (5800 yards), but accuracy is key.

At 2400 acres, Sutton is Birmingham's largest park and was recently designated a National Nature Reserve by English Nature. It is located only 6 miles (10K) outside of the city. Walkers, joggers, cyclists, horse riders, anglers and sailors are among the outdoor enthusiasts seen here.

Now this is a unique athletic-minded activity! Where else can you head indoors and ski, snowboard, tube, and/or sled on real snow throughout the year? Snowdome's almost quarter-mile slope is incredibly useful for beginners, kids and anyone looking for some unique fun.

A few miles outside of Birmingham's city centre, Ten Pin features 22 lanes, 15 American pool tables, cosmic bowling and other amusements. It's open till midnight throughout the week (1am Fri/Sat). See the website for more details.

This isn't your typical 15mph go-karting experience. The karts are fast, the course is challenging and drivers must sit through a class before getting behind the wheel. Still, "arrive and drive" opportunities are available where you don't need reservations.
