The rustic and casual ambiance with exposed brick, stone floors, native artwork and other colorful decor complements the Aji's Latin American menu. Big salads and fresh ceviche will please light eaters while the taquitos, chilaquiles, grilled meats and stews will satisfy big eaters.
The menus are big. At lunch choose among four ceviches or simply go with the sampler. Other sensible fare includes the house salad of spinach, jicama, red beans, avocado, red onion, and hearts of palm. Grilled chicken, tilapia, shrimp or beef tips can be added to this or any of the other 3 salad choices. Other lunchables include a burger, chicken breast sandwich, huevos rancheros, grilled tiger shrimp with baby bok choy, pork tenderloin posole, stuffed grilled eggplant, and a petite beef tenderloin with chipotle mashed potatoes. Dinner's menu includes the ceviche and salads, which can be ordered in two sizes, as well as the stuffed eggplant and grilled shrimp. Other entrée examples are the chile braised buffalo osso bucco, pork tenderloin with a sour orange and garlic sauce, peanut and plantain crusted yellowfin tuna, sea scallops with a mango salsa and boneless whole trout stuffed with cornbread pudding.
