Loacated in the Chautauqua Park Auditorium, this mostly classical music festival runs 6 weeks from late June until the first week of August. The 40 acre scenic park stretches south from Baseline road and runs along 14 acres of Boulder City Parks. Bring a picnic, order one from the dining hall or simply enjoy cookies during intermission at the kiosk.
Parking in the park is limited. Try and use the free shuttle service from the University of Colorado--Lot 308, at the corner of Regent Drive and Kittredge Loop Road. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes before and after the performance. If you do drive follow these directions:
Go west on Baseline to 12th Street. Go left (south) on 12th Street approx. 1/8 mile.
Parking is allowed on both sides of Baseline Road in the evenings during June, July and August. Parking for the disabled is available just west of the garden and in the parking lot south of the Academic Hall.
Other park highlights include cottages that can be rented, a dining venue, miles of hiking trails, and other activities.
