Situated about a mile away from engaging Pearl Street, Millennium Hotel Harvest House is a resort-style property covering 16 acres just east of the University of Colorado campus. Rooms range in size from 350 to 1,168 square feet, have deep color accents against neutral tones, and come equipped with contemporary bathrooms and mini refrigerators. Suites have microwaves. The Western-style hotel's 269 guest rooms are about the most attractive in Boulder. The fresh mountain breeze flowing into your room is an additional on-the-house perk.
The hotel provides mountain bike rentals and a small workout room, but Millennium's best fitness feature is its 25-yard indoor lap pool. Bestowing swimmers with four lanes divided by floating lines and bottom stripes, this rectangle is the only lap pool you will find at a Boulder hotel. Though it will not knock your Speedos off, it gets good marks as a hotel pool. Unfortunately, the quality of the exercise room does not.
The only cardio machines worth your sweat equity are an upright bicycle, an elliptical trainer, and a treadmill. There are no free weights or dumbbells to speak of. Fortunately the hotel is less than two miles from the Colorado Athletic Club - Flatirons, so those looking for a full-body workout should hustle over or take to the nearby paths for a challenging run. Tennis players will happily enjoy the 15 courts, 5 or which are covered for winter play! A pass to this club costs $15/day.
