This casual restaurant offers contemporary American cuisine with a bent toward organic, local and seasonal ingredients in a classic, bistro-style setting. The dining room has mosaic tile floors, wooden tables, booths, and high ceilings. The menu is fairly gourmet and rich yet healthy fare is available for both carnivores and vegetarians.
The breakfast menu includes all the traditional favorites (pancakes, omelets, French toast, scrambles) along with oatmeal, huevos rancheros, granola and fresh fruit. Seared greens, waffles and gluten free bread can be ordered as sides. Salads get a good showing on the lunch menu with the grilled chicken citrus salad, salmon and spinach salad and the ahi tuna Nicoise. Soups, grilled veggies and some good sides will appeal to healthy eaters. Other eats include oysters, classic steak tartare, crab cake, pasta, fish tacos, burgers, roast turkey BLT and a smoked prime rib sandwich. Dinner offers more appetizers (ahi sashimi, seared scallops) and entrée selections such as Shetland Island salmon with a miso glaze, black organic quinoa with veggies, roasted half chicken, Maine lobster pasta and Cedar River filet mignon.
