Chou is upscale and leans toward the trendy side in terms of decor and vibe. The lighting is intimate and the tables are fairly close, but not too close. There are long drapes across the front windows and other warm details. Each plate comes out of the kitchen artfully presented. Foodies will enjoy the gourmet French cuisine and wine lovers will appreciate the impressive collection. Come here for a relaxing and upscale meal and avoid it if you want to customize a lot.

Located in the heart of the city, this coffee shop offers coffee gurus a treat. Tea is also served, but the appeal is definitely the java.
Coffee or Tea are it. Yep, no food. But we think given the accolades this shop receives, it's worth checking out.

The GB "Express" is the smaller version of a GB Supermarket. These stores are more like 7-Elevens (convenience stores), but can be very useful for the basics: bread, drinks, fruit, sandwiches etc. Also, the fact that they are open on Sundays is a big plus.

Located in the center of the city and convenient to all of our recommended hotels, Jaloa's location in a restored 18th Century home provides a unique setting for the modern restaurant. Beige and soft neutrals dominate the color scheme to produce a streamlined and upscale effect. White table cloths, upholstered chairs and a beautiful enclosed patio are other highlights. Along with fixed priced menus, there is an a la carte menu that offers two or three fish selections. The menu is limited, gourmet and rich. So why recommend it? The location and quality are excellent.

This mostly vegetarian restaurant (2 fish entrées are offered) earns rave reviews for its internationally inspired menu that is packed with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The decor is contemporary and casual with light wood floors, wood tables, fresh flowers, beige walls and a few vibrant red accents. For those staying in the south part of the city, the restaurant is a few miles away in the Elsene area. The dishes are rather complex, meaning with lots of sauces and spice, so if you prefer your food more plain, skip this place.

It's modern, stylish and urban with exposed ductwork, two levels, dark wood floors, exposed brick and red granite. The spacious restaurant also boasts an internal courtyard with cobblestones and bamboo for al fresco dining when the weather cooperates. The menu offers variety with an Asian influence.

It's an upscale pizza joint that prices the slice according to weight. While the price can add up, it's perfect for those who want a little bit of this and a little bit of that! Expats flock to the place looking for something like home. While many get their pie to go, there are tables with stools. This location is bigger than the Ixelles spot or the one in Chatelain.
Gourmet toppings such as pancetta, walnuts, spinach, peppers and even pumpkin along with a crunchy crust keep the locals coming back for more. Typically there are 10 pizza varieties to choose from.

Rick's classic decor with lots of wood, a big bar, high ceilings, fireplace and black and white photos decorating the walls create a clubby vibe. Adding to this effect is its location in a turn of the century townhouse complete with a very popular enclosed terrace and coach house. We like the fairly big American grill style menu that offers a number of seafood options for light eaters. Carnivores will like the selection of steaks and burgers. You can even get a fajita here. The location on Louise Avenue is also a plus.

Open and airy and somewhat minimalist, the Feng Shui designed space is an eatery and food shop. Located in the Chatelain neighborhood, Tan's owners strive to satisfy patrons from multiple dimensions: pleasure, need, health, science and spirituality. The dining room is upstairs and is warm and inviting with wood floors and red accents. What we like is that the menu offers gourmet Japanese cuisine and other high quality selections for both carnivores and vegetarians. Keep in mind that Tan uses "low temperature cooking", which means that the menu will emphasize raw dishes when possible.

This place is classic French. Don't fret that you need to pass through the kitchen to reach the classically appointed dining area. Murals cover the wall, white linens cover the tables and dark woods provide an accent. But, it's not fancy nor overly upscale. It's more bistro than anything else. We like that the menu is big which means there is likely something for everyone and that it is centrally located.

While we don't typically like to rely on hotel restaurants for our Eat Well listings, in this business driven city, there is real value to a place that serves all three meals and is open every day. Wiltcher's is modern and upscale with chocolate walls, bright artwork and orange accents. The casual restaurant offers a good meeting spot for business and a fairly diverse menu.
