For those flying in or out of Brussels, there is a supermarket located in the arrivals hall and it's open on Sundays! It is located near the customs checkpoint and is a great option for those staying near the airport or just arriving in Brussels.

Chou is upscale and leans toward the trendy side in terms of decor and vibe. The lighting is intimate and the tables are fairly close, but not too close. There are long drapes across the front windows and other warm details. Each plate comes out of the kitchen artfully presented. Foodies will enjoy the gourmet French cuisine and wine lovers will appreciate the impressive collection. Come here for a relaxing and upscale meal and avoid it if you want to customize a lot.

Located in the heart of the city, this coffee shop offers coffee gurus a treat. Tea is also served, but the appeal is definitely the java.

The GB "Express" is the smaller version of a GB Supermarket. These stores are more like 7-Elevens (convenience stores), but can be very useful for the basics: bread, drinks, fruit, sandwiches etc. Also, the fact that they are open on Sundays is a big plus.

This mostly vegetarian restaurant (2 fish entrées are offered) earns rave reviews for its internationally inspired menu that is packed with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The decor is contemporary and casual with light wood floors, wood tables, fresh flowers, beige walls and a few vibrant red accents. For those staying in the south part of the city, the restaurant is a few miles away in the Elsene area. The dishes are rather complex, meaning with lots of sauces and spice, so if you prefer your food more plain, skip this place.

Rick's classic decor with lots of wood, a big bar, high ceilings, fireplace and black and white photos decorating the walls create a clubby vibe. Adding to this effect is its location in a turn of the century townhouse complete with a very popular enclosed terrace and coach house. We like the fairly big American grill style menu that offers a number of seafood options for light eaters. Carnivores will like the selection of steaks and burgers. You can even get a fajita here. The location on Louise Avenue is also a plus.

Open and airy and somewhat minimalist, the Feng Shui designed space is an eatery and food shop. Located in the Chatelain neighborhood, Tan's owners strive to satisfy patrons from multiple dimensions: pleasure, need, health, science and spirituality. The dining room is upstairs and is warm and inviting with wood floors and red accents. What we like is that the menu offers gourmet Japanese cuisine and other high quality selections for both carnivores and vegetarians. Keep in mind that Tan uses "low temperature cooking", which means that the menu will emphasize raw dishes when possible.
