Located on the St. George's River in the Bow River, Calgary's Zoo is similar to many large city zoos. You'll find many similar animals, but it's a fun outdoor activity nonetheless. Hours are 9am to 5pm daily. $15CAD for adults.

Yes, that's right, bobsledding rides are offered at the Canada Olympic Park. For about $150 you can experiene the adrenaline rush of riding down a 60-second bobsled run. You don't have to worry about driving, just grip tightly and hold on.

We have yet to meet a woman who doesn't like to shoe shop. Gravity Pope is rated as the best shoe store in Calgary and it's conveiently located in downtown. They also have a location in Edmonton and Vancouver. Shoes here for guys as well.

Voted by locals as the best venue for live country and folk performances for several years. Since Calgary is a Country/Western town at heart, some good acts come through these doors.

Rated as one of the best people watching and pickup joints in Calgary--also one of the best places to catch a sporting event or play pool. Melrose doesn't fit into the nightclub category nor is it a typical sportsbar.

Calgary's largest and most popular park located on an island in the middle of Bow River. Just a few blocks walk from many downtown Calgary hotels.
