We stayed four nights in the only suite at this corporate office park hotel during the holidays and enjoyed our visit, especially for the affordable price Plenty of competing hotels are located within a stone's throw of one another in this area, so a little haggling over the phone with hotel personnel might shave a few bucks off your rate.
The hotel is well maintained and a good representative of the brand. Bedding is premium-grade, flat-panel televisions are a modern touch, and hotel staff accommodated our request for a microwave, mini-refrigerator and other necessities without additional cost. But, high speed internet access did come with an extra fee ($4.95/day).
Doubletree squeezed as many top notch Precor cardio machines as they could into their tiny exercise room. All four units have attached television screens and headphones are available for common use. Each morning we shared the sweat space with others, and at times we had to forego our first choice of equipment. Because dumbbells are the only strength option, it's difficult to enjoy a proper muscle-build session and swimmers will have to look off-site for a legit lap pool (the "Tree's" water box is short and square).
Fortunately, Lifetime Fitness is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. AND, Doubletree provides complimentary passes for access, so make your way over to Lifetime...it's a no-brainer! Access Lifetime's parking lot and front entrance via the road from the back side of the building instead of Higgins Road (it's a shorter route).
