Most farmers' markets in the Windy City are seasonal, but this one is year-round. During the cold months, it is held indoors (thankfully!). But once May arrives, the vendors head back outdoors. Come on foot or by public transport to avoid parking dilemmas. There are plenty of prepared food options for hungry visitors such as tamales, pasta, burgers, etc.
Outdoor Market runs from early May until late October every Wednesday and Saturday 7a to 1p. Location is at the south end of Lincoln Park between Clark and Stockton Dr. Discounted parking at the Chicago Historical Museum w/ validation at market.
Indoor Market is held on Saturdays November to late December at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum's eco-lot on the north side of the Museum. It starts back up again late January and runs through April. Address: 2430 N. Cannon Dr. in Lincoln Park. Metered parking available at Diversey Harbor off Cannon Drive.
