Kitsch'n on Roscoe (Roscoe Village)

2005 W. Roscoe St.
Chicago, IL 60618
773-248-7372websitePrice: Least Expensive
Area: Downtown

This local favorite espouses a 70's themed diner concept with a cozy couch-filled lobby, kitschy decor and an outdoor patio. While the menu is more comfort and hangover fare versus super healthy, there are lighter options. We include it for those who may be staying in the Lincoln Park area and want some local flavor. Kitsch'n offers a funky and inexpensive dining alternative.

The brunch menu offers lots of egg dishes (chilaquiles, breakfast burrito, omelets), pancakes, French toast and waffles. But there's also a tofu scramble with spinach, mushrooms, broccoli, roasted peppers, and cheese. Light eaters can create a meal with the plentiful sides such as fruit, granola, yogurt, oatmeal, chicken sausage, etc. Lunch fare includes two entrée salads, soups, sandwiches (pulled pork), burgers (including a veggie burger) and daily soups (also a vegetarian option).
