There is much to like about this casual and homey eatery. The decor is pleasant with wood floors, fun artwork, diner-style tables and chairs and touches of the South. While the cuisine definitely leans to the heavier side, there are enough light options to earn our recommendation. Also, we like that all three meals are served; the price is right; and the menu is pretty big.
Breakfast offers all the favorites including egg white-only options! Omelets come in varying flavors (including light spinach with tomato, mushroom and egg whites), French toast with real Vermont maple syrup, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, fresh fruit and plenty of sides. Savory dishes are also offered such as crawfish cakes, chicken andouille hash and a BBQ benedict. Brunch is pretty much a combo of the breakfast and lunch menus. The lunch menu is smaller than the dinner menu, but still offers plenty of tasty options such as salads (with the option of adding chicken), veggie burgers, salmon cakes, blackened chicken breast, black-eyed peas and rice, grilled chicken, black bean burger, and blackened catfish. The lunch menu also has a "late breakfast" section with the egg white omelet as an option!
At dinner a few more entrees make an appearance such as blackened trout, jambalaya, smoked bbq plate, and a grilled mango chicken. Oh and we forgot to mention that you get a choice of sides with all entrées!
