Located in the Warehouse district near Downtown, Blue Point serves up a big menu of seafood in a classy setting characterized by nautical accents, white linens, deep blue walls and huge chandeliers. Blue Point is one of the more upscale restaurants close to our recommended hotels. Think sophisticated steak house, but the specialty is seafood.
The chef's creations along with "simply prepared" options for both seafood and chicken are perfect for picky eaters. Sensible starters include the jumbo shrimp cocktail, seared sea scallops, ahi tartare and the baby arugula salad. Of course there are a number of other more heavy appetizers listed such as crab cakes and fried calamari. Examples of the chef's specialties include a Pacific swordfish with red rice risotto and green curry, Irish salmon, seared ahi with an Asian glaze and prime cut short ribs. Chicken and steak also make an appearance as well as a few veggie sides. Vegetarian options are available "upon request." If you're on a budget go for lunch to save a few bucks. The lunch menu offers many of dinner's entrées (including the simply prepared options) as well as entrée salads and sandwiches/burgers.
Lunch Mon-Fri 11:30a to 3p; Dinner Mon-Sun starting at 5p
