2ndsole has been around since 1997. They share the same name as Second Sole, but it's not the same shop. Don't let the name fool you, though. They're serious about running. Unfortunately, the shop is outside of downtown, so downtowner's in need of some run gear will have to drive out.

This place doesn't sell bikes, but they do rent and they are close to downtown Cleveland. This shop may be the most convenient option for those looking for a mountain bike or cruiser to ride along Lake Erie.

There are a dearth of running stores in Cleveland, especially downtown. Second Sole has been around for 25 years and its outstanding products and customer service explain why. Unfortunately, the shop is outside of downtown, so you will need to drive to get there. It's NE about 13 miles.

While not located in downtown Cleveland, Spin is one of the better shops in the metro area. It carries BMC, Felt, and Specialized, among other manufacturers.
Rentals: Super premium bikes are available for $95/day, premium $55/day, and basic bikes $10/hr.

With eight locations surrounding downtown Cleveland, Zagster supplies bikes by the hour for a low price. $3 gets you an hour, while $24 will get you a day's worth of pedaling around The Forest City.
