Across the street from downtown's Colonial Marketplace and six blocks from the convention center, this hotel is housed in the The Arcade Cleveland which opened in May of 1890 as the first indoor shopping center in America.
Although Hyatt's contemporary décor and vaulted ceilings create an upscale look in its 293 rooms, we cannot give it top billing because other recommended hotels provide a litany of free perks, including better gym options.
Nevertheless, Hyatt's arcade-level exercise room is no slouch. Similar to its guest quarters, contemporary furnishings, bright colors and new flooring create a pleasant environment. Hyatt gets kudos for stocking new cardio equipment, weight machines, free weights, and resistance bands and balls. It is a noteworthy option, just not as elaborate or thorough as Titans Gym which is about a 1/4 of a mile away. Browns Fit is about 1/2 mile.
Swimmers, you should know the drill by now if you've read our other Cleveland listings. Your Parker Hannifin YMCA commute is 5 minutes on foot.
