Shooters will likely not "wow" you with its cuisine, but the grill style menu is reliable and the restaurant's on the river location is a plus--especially during the warmer months. The restaurant was renovated in 2007 and lures visitors with its candle-lit dinners and state of the art sound and light show on the patio during the summer. Over all Shooters is a popular group gathering spot or after work meal hang out. Keep in mind though that the patio can be VERY boisterous, however during the winter, the place is much more mellow.
The menu offers plenty of calorie laden appetizers, but if you stick to the jumbo shrimp cocktail or possibly the calamari or chicken quesadilla, you'll be on the right track. The entrée salads include baby spinach with grilled chicken, Goat Cheese salad, Asian chicken and Caesar. All salads have the option of grilled chicken or grilled salmon. In terms of entrées Shooters offers steaks, ribs, and seafood (swordfish, salmon, crab, walleye) that can be grilled or blackened. Carb lovers can sample the Cajun shrimp pasta (mind the cream sauce), or the penne "pignoli" with mushrooms, snap peas, pine nuts and grilled chicken in a pesto sauce. Sandwiches, paninis and wraps are also offerd and there are over a dozen. Extra veggies can be ordered on the side.
