Just minutes from the downtown hotels and about eight miles north of the Broadmoor area, you will find an entrance to paradise. The Garden of Gods Park is the #1 visited national natural landmark in the area. One can view the dramatic rock formations and regal snow-capped Pikes Peak from the visitor center and restaurant and/or learn about Colorado’s rock formations in the HD movie “How Did Those Red Rocks Get There?”
For our active friends, consider experiencing the landscape with rock climbing or a Segway tour. The best rock climbing tour for beginners is the two-hour Cliff Hanger, which will introduce participants to the red rocks on the easiest climbing routes (See pricing and times below). Wear fitted clothing and bottoms that reach the knee and sign up at the kiosk at the visitor center.
The best Segway tour is the one-hour Short Loop tour, which includes Kissing Camels, Praying Hands, and Park Overlook. Wear comfy clothes and closed-toed shoes. Tours leave from the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center throughout the day.
Other options to see the rock formations: driving through the park and picking up one of the dirt trails for a hike, bike or horseback ride.
Free park admission.
