Open year round, Manitou Cliff Dwellings is an open-air American Indian historical museum with examples of the "cave houses" built and used by the Natives living circa A.D. 1300. Quite a bit of inclined walking is required for a proper tour, so wear comfortable shoes.

Want a glimpse of what this area was like 30-40 years ago? Drive 10 minutes from downtown to the Old Colorado City strip where quaint shops, tasty restaurants (eg, Alchemy Pub), and a few nicknack stores line the street for three blocks or so.

Pinecreek's course features natural grasslands and meandering creek beds that come into play on 15 of the 18 holes. On the front nine, the canyon-style course challenges players, while the back nine features an American-style links course.

Not for the faint of heart, this white water rafting experience traverses classs 3, 4, and 5 rapids. Half Day to Full Day excursions to choose from. About a 1-hour drive from central Colorado Springs. Seasonal...closed during the colder months, of course.

Known locally as the "Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado," visitors will be treated to a 180-foot waterfall, native wildlife and a variety of scenic vistas. Open every day of the year except Thanksgving, Christmas Eve and New Years Day. Summer nights bestow a special light show treat.
