For those staying in downtown Colorado Springs, this hotel offers proximity to the city's offices and quaint retail establishments. Enchanting shops and cafes provide visitors endless opportunities to spread their wealth. While the hotel's 292 rooms are conservatively furnished with little flair or style, guest quarters are roomy and offer expansive city or mountain views that pleased our senses. Rooms come equipped with a mini fridge and coffee maker.
The 2nd floor fitness center's best feature is its spectacular view of Pike's Peak, and the workout machines are not too shabby either. Precor treadmills, bikes and ellipticals glisten next to stack-loaded weight machines and a 5-50 lbs. dumbbell rack. The news for swimmers is not as good. The "lap" pool's length is barely 14 yards. Three stripes are on the pool's bottom, but no floating lines nor toys are provided.
What to do? Consider heading over to the Memorial Park YMCA. There is a 3-lane 25 yard lapper there. You can also check our other Work Out options for Colorado Springs.
