This eatery offers a more fine dining experience. Inside it's traditionally styled with warm tones, a fire place, table cloths and an overall welcoming, cozy feel. The bar area is a dining option for those on their own. Walter's offers a seasonal menu based on fresh, local ingredients. On their website, you can find the "fresh sheet." The New American menu offers a good selection of both hearty and lighter fare.
Appetizers that may appeal to athletic-minded travelers include seared scallops, steak tartare, crab cakes, ahi tuna trio, spicy chicken eggrolls. We appreciate the solid salad offering which includes kale, a chopped bistro with choice of protein topper, Caesar, roasted beet, and steak salad. The Chilean seabass entree comes with gnocchi, green peas and baby lima beans. Pan seared salmon comes with herb mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. There is also, a hearty bison bolognese over parpadelle pasta, roasted half chicken, and wild mushroom ravioli. What is missing is a sides list for extra veggies, but we're pretty sure that Walter's will happily accommodate requests.
