This is a popular course for the Pikes Peak Marathon and attracts runners every summer from across the United States. The grueling route from the trailhead to Barr Camp is 6.5 miles, while the distance from the Barr Camp to the Summit is 5.8 miles.
Every Saturday, cyclists meet for a group ride at 9am and depart at 9:30am. The rides usually cover 15-25 miles at a speed of about 12-16 mph. RSVP is not necessary, just show up. "No drop" policy applies.

Just minutes from the downtown hotels and about eight miles north of the Broadmoor area, you will find an entrance to paradise. The Garden of Gods Park is the #1 visited national natural landmark in the area.
This relatively short trail heads through the National Forest just north of Woodland Park. The path follows a winding stream through a scenic valley while providing excellent views of Woodland Park and Pikes Peak. Be sure to stick to the most obvious route along the creek.
In Colorado Springs, the community centers come with natural beauty. Take the Memorial YMCA as an example. It is situated within the Memorial Park complex with its boathouse, beach, swimming, fishing and kayak rentals and affords visitors breathtaking Rocky Mountain views.
