Housing 1,614 rooms and located just off the Stemmons Freeway (I-35), travelers looking for a cozy, boutique hotel experience should stay elsewhere. Despite its giant size, the accommodation does have unique characteristics and staff does try their best to provide attentive service with a smile. The huge health club and water park are big draws for the athletic-minded and kid-minded.
Guest quarter decor differs depending on the room you book/are assigned. All rooms are comfortable and offer standard amenities. The primary reason Hilton Anatole receives our highest recommendation is because the amazing Verandah Club is located in its "backyard." This huge, 80,000 square foot private health club houses top notch cardio equipment, a basketball court, squash courts, a exercise studio, spa, and a 25-meter lap pool (separate from the "Jade Waters"). Classes like spinning, Zumba, Cardio Sculpt, Yoga and Pilates are options.
Our ONLY gripe is the limited hours versus 24/7 at most hotels. Super early birds may be itching to get going, especially on weekends.
Note that this hotel does have a "resort fee" of approximately $25/night.
Runners should consider our Katy Trail listing for an outdoor route.
