Wow! The twin-tower Sheraton is a gigantic complex housing 1,840 rooms, and all guest quarters and common areas have vibe and uplifting decor. We like the sophisticated feel, plush bedding and large windows providing ample natural light. Bathrooms are nothing special but we do appreciate the large vanities and counter tops so there is enough room to spread out toiletries, makeup, etc. Complimentary bottled water, mini fridge and coffee make are other room amenities.
Sheraton's best feature is the amazing, 24-hour, complimentary fitness facility located on the 4th floor. Rarely do we see such an extensive equipment selection inside a hotel gym. Free weight machines, normally only found in the best health clubs, completely caught us by surprise. Of course, high quality cardio equipment including Peloton Cycles and a vast dumbbell set are here too. And again, the workout space is another area of the hotel decorated in an appealing and comforting way: wood flooring, large windows and plentiful space between machines.
Swimmers must look off-site for a traditional lap pool as Sheraton's outdoor water box is recreational only. Take the 10-15 minute walk down San Jacinto Street to the YMCA for the only regulation lap pool in downtown Dallas ($20/day).
