Power Life Yoga teaches Power Yoga, a Vinyasa-inspired style of yoga that improves flexibility and strength through flow and body posture. The basic Power I class is gently heated, while Power 1.5 and Power 2 classes are warmer and more fast-paced. The studio is located just south of the I-235 and 19th Street/Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway exit. From Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, take a left on Ingersoll Avenue, and then another left on 17th Street. The building has its own parking lot with plenty of spots.
The entire studio, including the practice room, has an abundance of natural lighting for an energizing atmosphere. Full locker rooms and showers are available for guests. Water is available for purchase, and there is also a drinking fountain on-site. The drop-in rate is $16, but newcomers get a free week, including a free mat and towel on the first day. After that it’s $1 for towel rentals and $2 for mat rentals.
Classes begin as early as 5:45a and as late as 8:15p. They last 45 minutes to an hour. Power 1 is taught Monday-Thursday at 9:30a, 4:30p, and 7:45p. On Wednesday there is also a 7:30a class.
