This private, upscale country club employs a "members only" policy. Luckily, an exception is made for guests of The Henry. For $15/day, Henry patrons can revel in Fairlane's equipment largesse.
On its fitness floor, exercisers are treated to an exceptional selection of cutting-edge machines in an open and lofty environment. Over 50 cardio pieces line the space including 15 treadmills, 10 ellipticals and 5 bikes. Strength apparatus is here in force as well, with 10 Hammer Strength plate-loaded machines, bench and squat racks and approximately 20 Cybex stack-loaded stations. Topping off the sweat prospects are an array of cardio and strength classes.
A lap swim option is only viable from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The warm weather marks the opening of Fairlane's 25-yard outdoor pool with lanes divided by floating lines and bottom stripes. Although the rectangle can support 6 lanes, only 3 are typically set up each day. Bring a watch if base intervals are in your plans because no pace clock is on deck. Fairlane does house a year-round indoor pool, but its short length of 50 feet (~17 yards) will not satisfy serious lap swimmers.
