DOSC (Drunk Ox Sober Cat)

10190 St. NW
Edmonton, ON

Area: Downtown

This place is cool. Along with a dinner menu that shines with possibility, the vibe is urban and current with soaring ceilings, exposed brick, tile and mosaic touches throughout, big wooden support beams, leather booth seating, and fancy chandeliers.  And while the menu leans gourmet and foodie, the atmosphere says, come on in and take a load off and have some fun. There is also the Sober Cat Cafe here and it is open early for coffee, baked goods, power bowls, and breakfast sandwiches. This place serves many needs!

As mentioned, the Cafe is open for quick morning eats. There's also a special weekend brunch menu that offer benedicts, French toast, gourmet salad, hashbowl, avocado toast and morning poutine. The dinner menu impresses with starters and "shared plates" such as tenderloin carpaccio, espresso rub skirt steak, prawn aguachile, yellowtail crudo, seasonal greens salad with pickled shallots and fresno chili, Brussels sprouts, and a watermelon salad. The entree selection is smaller, but we think that's okay because there is such diversity with the smaller plates. And by the way, there is the option to add prawns, scallop or skirt steak to any of the appetizers! Entrees include steak and salmon! And there are sides too, potatoes in various forms, carrots done savory, roasted mushrooms and grilled brocollini.

Open Sun-Th 8a-11p; Fri/Sat 8a-Late; Weekend Brunch 10a-3p
