Edmonton's run and bike paths are legendary. Follow 100 Street down behind the Fairmont Hotel to the North Saskatchewan River banks (you'll have to descend a 200 step staircase). Follow the paved path across the bridge and then turn either right or left for miles of running, walking or biking pleasure. The path winds its way along the river and also splits into other directions as well. Some parts of the path are densely forested, so as you are with other trail systems, be alert and aware of your surroundings--and don't run at night.
