More upscale than many of the surrounding UTEP eateries, this Grill very much has that "Grill" vibe with wood tables and chairs, a classy bar, various artwork, patio seating, and a big menu. We also like that there are several dining areas, which keeps the noise at bay. The big menu, especially at dinner, will satisfy a variety of preferences. While the menus change seasonally, travelers can always count on a wide array of selections.
For lunch the Mesa chicken salad with chicken and avocado is pretty hearty, while the “low carb platter” with chicken breast and a side salad is quite light. Other AMT lunch possibilities include the Mesa club sandwich, Mesa burger, and the turkey avocado wrap. The dinner menu is significantly more impressive with a nice selection of appetizers (ahi tuna tacos, fruit & cheese, crab cake, and smoked salmon with peppercorn Dijon). There are a number of appetizer salads with the option of adding chicken, sashimi tuna, shrimp, or grilled salmon. For entrées we like the seafood options, which include seared yellowfin, pan-seared halibut, and spicy shrimp pasta. Other options include filet mignon, NY strip, rib-eye and lamb. The sides selection is steakhouse-good, offering broccoli, grilled asparagus, and mixed veggies.
