Shawnee Mission Park

Of this 1,250-acre park, there are approximately 20 miles of non-paved trails for running, mountain biking, and horseback riding.  The park also has a beach surrounding the 150-acre lake, which is open during the summer season for boating activities and swimming.

Swope Park
If you want to be outdoors, this is the place to go. Spanning 1,805 acres, Swope Park is the largest park in Kansas City and one of the largest in the country. The best part about this park is that only a small portion of it is developed—the rest of the densely wooded area is preserved.

This place features the best local talent and occasional touring companies. There is live music 4 nights each week!  Minors are allowed in too. No reservations are accepted.
