It's gourmet Mexican and Latin cuisine created with high quality ingredients that will wow all diners. We like that there are a good number of veggies along with the meats. Everything is made from scratch and done with flair. And if you are heading to an event at the Staples Center, it's super close. And while the menu is upscale, the ambiance is casual and welcoming with cool lighting, greenery hanging on the walls, a long bar (perfect for solo diners), open kitchen, hardwood floors, and the huge selection of tequilas on display.
Highlights from a recent menu include oysters with charred serrano mignoette; cabbage with "cuerritos" (pig skins) and cilantro; heirloom beans with tomato and cilantro; vegetarian tamale; green beans with poached egg, sofrito, and salsa; various salads; chile relleno; mushrooms with black garlic, chile de arbol; carne asada; duck; red snapper with leek, green clamato and clams; veal breast with guajillo broth, onion, cilantro.
Whew! Very unique.
