When your first choice has too long of a line, this place may be a solution. It's not as trendy as many breakfast and lunch joints, but we like the big menu and cheerful decor. Look for the yellow door.
Your hardest decision here will be deciding between breakfast or lunch. Hearty egg dishes like the "Mile-High Scramble" are balanced by offerings like the "Power Protein Scramble" which is all egg-whites, chicken breast, turkey sausage, cheese and veggies. Omelets, pancakes in a few flavors, healthy breakfast bowls, oatmeal, and egg sandwiches are all breakfast possibilities. Lunch items include a variety of salads that have the option of adding grilled tofu, marinated steak, pan-fired vegetable tofu hash and free range chicken breast. We'd go for the Quinoa Veggie Harvest, which includes beans, corn, asparagus, grilled veggies, blue cheese crumbles and tomato. There's also a Kale Caesar. Soups and chili, rice bowls, rotisserie chicken, hot and cold sandwiches and burgers (including beef, turkey and veggie). What we also really like seeing is a big sides listing, perfect for those who like to customize. Examples include kale slaw, brown rice, fruit, white beans, seasonal veggies, cilantro quinoa, mashed potatoes and more.
