Ledlow has a European cafe feel with its white tile floors, black and white color scheme, marble bar, big street front windows and patio dining option. It's both casual and sophisticated. Its location in the heart of the Old Bank District in downtown LA makes it a popular spot for theatergoers and those working downtown. The menu is nicely balanced for both light and hearty eaters.
Like most brunch menus, heartier eaters have more options. For example, the ‘breakfast combo’ of fried eggs, duck fat potatoes, pork belly, and salsa will fill even the biggest eater. Other brunch options include French toast, pancakes, granola, and thankfully, a "Healthy Breakfast" of egg whites, house made soyrizo, mushrooms, greens and Inca grains! Salads, appetizers and sandwiches are also listed. For dinner, we like that there are about five solid salad choices such as Brussels sprouts with apples and pecans; shrimp salad with Asian pear; a crudite plate of grilled and raw seasonal fruits and veggies and lastly, a kale and radicchio salad. The chicken noodle bowl and house made pickles are appetizer examples. Entrees include a flat iron steak served with bone marrow and Anson Mills polenta, pastas, pan seared Branzino, and chicken parmesan.
