It's all organic and macrobiotic--meaning uber healthy. No white sugar, dairy or eggs. Seafood, however, does make the cut. Order at the counter for dine in service or grab what you need and go. The setting is casual, L.A. chic with wood floors and minimalist decor. The people watching is nearly as interesting as the food. Sidewalk seating is also available.
The ready for take-out eats include bento boxes (with various protein sources such as salmon, tofu, seitan), wraps, sandwiches and salads. The dine-in menu includes an ahi tuna burger, rice bowls, various hot and cold vegetarian friendly sandwiches, soups, salad combos (including, chopped, kale and seaweed), sushi, and lots of real veggie sides. We hear that the "Gobo fries" are worth trying. They are made with burdock root instead of potatoes. Breakfast fare includes granola and fresh fruit, scrambled tofu with tempeh bacon, blueberry pancakes, cranberry walnut French toast, smoked salmon benedict and breakfast panini.
