Wow! If you're not impressed by the soaring exterior of this high-rise hotel property, wait until you see the rooms, gym and pool! A fine example of modern architecture and design, the 48-story Beetham Tower (the tallest U.K. building outside London) houses both residential apartments (floors 24-48) and hotel rooms (floors 1-22). Hilton also operates a restaurant and bar with incredible views on the 23rd level.
Although the tower soars on the edge of downtown, most business and entertainment destinations still are "walkable" in this dense city, Piccadilly Train Station is not, however. Matching its modern outer-core, Hilton's 285 contemporary rooms display stylish furnishings. Most striking are the huge, floor-to-ceiling windows, but other notable features include premium bedding, high-speed internet access (fee applies) and upscale bathrooms.
Hilton's 2nd floor fitness space incorporates an open/airy gym with first class equipment, a 20-meter indoor pool, hot tub, and three spa treatment rooms. New Precor cardio machines are aligned along side Precor strength stations and a vast dumbbell set. Floor-to-ceiling windows accept plentiful natural light and provide an alternative view to the overhead televisions.
The pool is plenty long for lap swimming, but a lack of bottom stripes or floating lane lines may make straight-line stroking difficult. It's still worth a try for hard core swimmers.
Post-workout, reward your commitment to a healthy lifestyle with a professional rub in Hilton's spa and/or a cocktail inside the hotel's Cloud 23 lounge.
