We agree with Lowry's claim that it is "Manchester's most fashionable hotel." Plenty of money and effort went into the design and furnishing of this property. Of course, you'll pay a hefty fare to experience Lowry's luxury and highly rated service, with such notable accolades as being named as Manchester's first Leading Hotel of the World and receiving "Restaurant of the Year" at Manchester's Tourism Awards. In addition to instituting a completely smoke-free policy and providing wireless internet access property-wide, Lowry offers 164 charming and chic rooms with vibrant colors and clean-lined décor. The preferred side of the hotel bestows views of the River Irwell while the opposite quarters reveal peeks of urban Manchester. Spacious marble bathrooms are an additional highlight.
Lowry's gym overlooks the River as well, but you may find yourself even more mesmerized by the splendid exercise equipment. Technogym's top tier cardio and strength machines are assorted in an organized and comfortable fashion. No recumbent bikes means cyclist must ride upright, actually, preferred by us, but we don't have back problems, yet. Overhead televisions provide welcome entertainment and the adjacent spa spoils patrons with a wide variety of post-workout treats. Lap swimmers must look to one of our off-site locations for a workout. The Bannatyne on Quay (half-mile walk) has a pool, as well as a full-service gym, for £10.
