The Memphis Zoo is a fun place to visit, especially for an afternoon. featuring a sea lion show, more than 30 penguins, and all the usual zoo animals. Habitats are animal-friendly, but not so huge that you can never find the animals!
The Rumba Room is downtown Memphis's coolest ballroom for swing and salsa dancing and was voted "best place to dance" by the Memphis Flyer.
Shelby Farms is the largest urban park in the country, covering 4,500 acres of lakes, fishing ponds, rolling hills, paved and unpaved trails, picnic areas, paddle boating, forests, an innovative playscape, and plenty of fresh air.
