This big hotel is connected to the convention center via skywalk and is also within walking distance to touristy Beale Street. The common areas are upscale and stylish. Rooms are more ordinary with basic browns and standard furnishings.
This is the nicest Hampton Inn we have seen. While we stop short of using the "L" word (luxury), this franchise comes close with its warm, lodge-like lobby and fireplace, attractive guest quarters, and free continental breakfasts.
